stdesjardinsTwo more films at Silverdocs today. The Vanishing Spring Light is about an elderly Chinese woman in the last year of her life, and how her children treat caring for her as a burden. Tea or Electricity is about a Moroccan village anticipating the extension of electrical power to their remote mountain village. Both films had interesting subjects, but were kind of dull and slow-paced. It takes a knack to film the sort of telling moment that's interesting, informative, and moves the film forward. Both these films lacked that spark.
