Gutenberg Update
Sep. 1st, 2011 01:22 amI only uploaded one book to Project Gutenberg in August. Actually, since I uploaded it a few minutes after midnight, I technically didn't upload any, but I'll count it as August anyway. In fact, if I can finish off the two that stalled in the "I am so sick of this HTML" stage in the next day or two, I'll count that as three books for August, which is not good but not bad either. And I held off on creating new projects, so at least my long-term backlog improved. (Although I did request some copyright clearances. I also borrowed a book from a friend's library that I really ought to scan and return. Let this be a warning, in case you ever let me near your bookcases.)
What I'm really annoyed about is not just that I did so few books, but I failed in my goal of writing detailed HTML specifications for the magazines in my post-processing queue; I really need to pass a bunch of those off to other people.
September and October are heavy travel months, so if I can do even three books each month I'll be content. I only have a couple of trips planned from November to March, so maybe I can make a bit more progress then.
