It's a little early, but I thought I'd get my monthly report on my Distributed Proofreaders work up while I have a few free minutes.

This month I've posted eight books to Project Gutenberg, and I'm almost finished with a ninth. They are Adopting an Abandoned Farm by Kate Sanborn, The Crime of the French Café and Other Stories by Nicholas Carter, The Nest of the Sparrowhawk by the Baroness Orczy, By Advice of Counsel by Arthur Train, Crime: Its Cause and Treatment by Clarence Darrow, Po-No-Kah by Mary Mapes Dodge, Shakespeare's Insomnia and the causes thereof by Franklin H. Head, and The Uttermost Farthing and The Mystery of 31 New Inn by R. Austin Freeman.

Once I finish the last of these off, I'll have eight books remaining in my queue. So my goal for May will be to finish all of those off. In fact, from this point on, I'm going to try to finish all the books in my queue at the beginning of the month by the end of the month, so I don't end up getting so very much backed up again.

Books scanned this month include The Mystery of 31 New Inn, Adopting an Abandoned Farm, and The Trail of the Tramp by A-No. 1. I've also done about 150 pages of Christina Rossetti poems, which puts me about a third of the way through. (That one is going to be a nuisance to post-process, although there are tools to automatically do most of the poetry markup.) I may do some short pulp paperbacks just to relax; those are fairly easy to scan, proof, and turn into HTML, so it's a bit of a treat.
